I was equally surprised at one of these Chinese Culture Lectures last week, when the lecturer openly criticized the Governments decision of censoring parts of one Chinese Traditional book. Like you, I was expecting to find a completely different China, but I still have so many things to discover about the real way this country works. I am happy you enjoy what you found and I hope i will also do.
